Job Description Job Description Our client, a well?established tax preparer located in downtown Chicago, is seeking a detail?oriented Data Entry Specialist to support the team during a busy operational period. This is a short-term temporary assignment ideal for someone who works with accuracy, speed, and confidentiality when handling sensitive financial data. Key Responsibilities Enter, review, and process client payment information into internal systems. Verify accuracy of payment amounts, method, and supporting documentation. Reconcile discrepancies by communicating with internal staff when needed. Maintain organized digital records following firm and compliance guidelines. Support the tax preparation team with additional administrative or data-related tasks. Ensure all financial information is handled with strict confidentiality. Qualifications Previous data entry, payment processing, or administrative experience preferred. Strong attention to detail and comfort working with numerical data. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with financial or tax-related environments is a plus (not required). Proficient in basic computer applications (Excel, PDF handling, CRM/ERP tools). Schedule & Assignment Details Short-term temporary role (exact duration based on seasonal needs). Onsite role in downtown Chicago.
