JOB SUMMARYEpiq Solutions is seeking a full-time Quality Control
Engineer with 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience to join our
Production team providing inspection and testing of both our custom
and commercial wireless communications systems. The primary
responsibility of this role is to ensure that our products meet or
exceed design specifications and performance. This includes the use
of automated tests, hands-on testing of solutions, incoming and
final inspection, and collecting and analyzing test results. The
ideal candidate has experience in quality assurance, partnering
with engineering teams, interacting with production staff,
collecting data to measure performance, and reporting test results.
The candidate will work closely with both engineering and product
management teams.
- Conduct thorough testing and analysis of electronic modules and
printed circuit boards to ensure functionality and
reliability.
- Evaluate manufacturing processes to identify areas for
improvement and enhance overall efficiency and quality.
- Investigate and determine root causes of defects or failures,
implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Ensure compliance with established quality standards and
industry regulations throughout the production process.
- Oversee production workflows and product testing procedures,
ensuring consistency and adherence to specifications.
- Document inspection results, root cause analyses, and process
improvements to support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Perform preventative maintenance on production test equipment
to ensure optional functionality and accuracy.
- Maintain comprehensive quality records related to assembly
systems and finished products.
- Manage and update assembly documentation to ensure accuracy in
product builds and quality tracking.
- Prepare and present detailed test results, reports, and
recommendations to management, engineering, and test teams.
- Oversee the Return Material Authorization System (RMA), serving
as a point of contact for customer inquiries and resolutions.
- Develop and implement corrective action plans to address
production and supplier-related quality issues.Requirements:JOB
REQUIREMENTSRequired
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical
Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical
discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in quality assurance
within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
- Strong troubleshooting skills, with the ability to collaborate
effectively with engineering teams to diagnose and resolve testing
failures.
- Proficiency in quality systems and standards, such as ISO 9001,
Six Sigma, and other industry best practices.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities, with a methodical
approach to identifying and implementing solutions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ensuring
clear documentation and effective cross-functional
collaboration.
- High attention to detail and strong analytical skills, with the
ability to interpret test data and quality metrics.
- Self-motivated and highly organized, capable of managing
multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced
environment.Desired
- Strong understanding of radio frequency (RF) concepts and
signal generation principles.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python for
automation, data analysis, or test scripting.
- Experience working with or actively participating in an
ISO-certified quality management system, such as ISO 9001.
