Job Description Job Description A Chicago based precision machine shop is seeking a CNC Machinist / Setup person to join our team in Chicago, IL. Chicago Turnrite Co., Inc. , a TMA Member Company, has been producing precision machined parts of complex geometry and material composition (basic carbon to exotics) for over 70 years. As a customer-driven manufacturing partner, our reputation for improving productivity and raising profitability has attracted Chicago Turnrite customers from diverse industries including Automotive, Marine, Railroad, and many more. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in programming / setting up CNC turning machines. Candidate will be responsible for reviewing current set-ups for process improvements. The candidate will also be responsible for setting up and operating CNC lathe machines. This would include installing tooling, changing jaws, loading raw material, setting fixtures, getting first piece approval, and adjusting controls to ensure quality production.
