Job Description:
At Charter Manufacturing, we are seeking an experienced
Industrial Maintenance Electrician to join our dedicated
Engineering & Maintenance team. This role is crucial in ensuring
the effective and efficient operation of electrical systems within
our steel and iron production facilities. With a sharp focus on
safety, quality, and innovation inherited through four generations
of family ownership, the successful candidate will play a key role
in maintaining Charter's reputation for exceptional service and
reliability in the metal products industry. Perform routine and
preventive maintenance of electrical systems to minimize downtime
and maximize productivity. Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair
electrical problems in manufacturing equipment and controls.
Install, service, and repair electrical machinery, equipment, and
electrical/electronic components. Follow all safety protocols and
procedures to ensure a safe work environment. Collaborate with a
team to support improvements in maintenance procedures and
production processes. Document all maintenance and repair work for
compliance and operational efficiency. Expertise in AC/DC motors,
PLCs, and electrical control systems. Proficiency in using
electrical diagnostic tools, such as multimeters and ammeters.
Strong understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and
local regulations. Ability to read and interpret electrical and
mechanical schematics and blueprints. Medical Insurance Dental
Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Valid electrician’s
license (e.g., Journeyman or Master Electrician). Certification
from the National Institute for Certification in Engineering
Technologies (NICET) is a plus.
