Job Title: CT Technologist Profession: Clinical - Allied Specialty: - Duration: 12 months Shift: 3rd Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: Minimum of one year, full-time equivalent, clinical experience in Diagnostic Radiology is required. License: ARRT registered RT (R) in diagnostic radiology and current State license as a Radiographer is required. Certifications: Advanced certification in CT required within 18 months of hire. Must-Have: American Heart Association Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or equivalent is required within three months of hire. Description: Operates computed tomography (CT) and related equipment under the direction of a radiologist. Performs CT studies according to specific guidelines and prescribed protocols. Utilizes appropriate radiation protection measures during procedures. Reviews images and archives them with associated patient data. Interacts with imaging personnel, nursing and medical staff, patients, and visitors. Performs other duties as assigned. Schedule includes working with at least one other CT Technologist at all times. Equipment used includes Siemens Edge scanner and nemoto injector. Previous CT experience is preferred. 1-2 years of college coursework and/or an undergraduate degree in a healthcare-related field is preferred.
