Weeks Start Date: 2/23/2026 About the Position TravelNurseSource is
working with Cynet Health to find a qualified ER/Trauma RN in
Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin, 54494! Job Title: ER Registered Nurse
Profession: RN Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift:
12 Hour Nights Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2
years of experience License: Active RN License Certifications: ACLS
BLS PALS (Strongly prefer TNCC, NRP, ENPC) Must-Have: Experience in
a Critical Access Hospital or a similar setting if a first-time
traveler. 2 years of Emergency Department experience in a similar
setting if no previous travel. Willingness to work in inpatient
Medical Surgical if required. Ability to work with limited
resources. Description: Candidates will train for two shifts in a
different location and will have one shift to work in the new
building prior to opening. The first week of training may involve
dayshift from 7 AM to 7 PM. The emergency department operates
without a designated triage nurse; bedside triage is performed.
Expected patient volume is 30-40 patients per day upon opening. The
nurse-to-patient ratio is generally 1 to 3-4. Common patient
diagnoses include cardiac issues, diabetes, stroke, tick bites, and
respiratory conditions. Nurses should be familiar with common drips
such as heparin and diltiazem. There is a Charge Nurse who also
takes an assignment along with two RNs in-house. Emergency
Department technicians are available 24/7 for assistance with
patient care tasks. There is no Respiratory Therapy staff available
on site; RNs are responsible for these procedures. Nurses will need
to assist with intubation and monitoring of transport vents as
necessary. RNs are required to read their own telemetry strips.
X-ray and CT services are available 24/7 with transport managed by
the department. RN and technician staff are responsible for lab
draws. Shifts are scheduled as 7 AM to 7 PM or 7 PM to 7 AM on a
block schedule. Nurses are expected to work every third weekend and
every third holiday, including major winter holidays. There is no
on-call requirement but may be placed on call if there are no
inpatients. All agency contracts must be willing to work both the
Emergency Department and Inpatient unit. Scrub color is solid and
might include navy blue, but this is not mandatory yet. Unit and
department-specific orientation will be provided prior to opening.
