Job Description:
Ascension is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered
Nurse (RN) to join our Med Surg team in a dynamic faith-based
healthcare environment. This crucial role will participate in
delivering high quality, patient-centered care with a focus on
medical and surgical patients in our advanced healthcare
facilities. The ideal candidate will possess a deep knowledge of
nursing best practices and a commitment to the Ascension mission of
transforming healthcare and enhancing health outcomes through
personalized, innovative care. Administer medications and
treatments per physician orders and nursing protocols. Perform
comprehensive patient assessments to determine effectiveness of
interventions and identify changes in patient status. Collaborate
with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to devise individualized
care plans for patients. Educate patients and families on illness,
prognosis, and the discharge process. Maintain patient health
records accurately and comply with hospital policies. Monitor
patient health and ensure compliance with all safety standards.
Strong clinical skills in a medical-surgical setting Excellent
communication and interpersonal skills Adept at multitasking and
prioritizing in fast-paced environments Proficient in using
electronic health records and medical software Medical Insurance
Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Registered
Nurse (RN) license in the state of employment Basic Life Support
(BLS) certification Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
certification preferred
