Ascension is seeking a dedicated and skilled Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to join our faith-based healthcare organization. This position requires a compassionate individual adept at using ultrasonic imaging devices to produce diagnostic images and conduct tests for medical evaluations. Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment safely and effectively. Prepare patients for procedures, including explaining the process and answering any questions to alleviate concerns. Conduct scans and adjust equipment to obtain the best diagnostic images and results. Record, analyze, and document medical data and images appropriately. Work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare team members to interpret sonographic results. Maintain patient records and manage scheduling for ultrasound procedures. Participate in educational sessions to continue developing skills and knowledge in sonographic technology and patient care. Proficiency in the use of diagnostic ultrasound equipment Strong analytical skills to interpret sonographic data and images Excellent patient care and communication skills Ability to work effectively in a team environment Attention to detail and capability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Active certification from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) required. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.
