Job Description:
Ascension is seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse
specialized in Med-Surg Neuro to join our faith-based healthcare
team. This position involves providing top-notch care in a
medical-surgical neurology unit, supporting patients recovering
from neurological illnesses and surgeries. As part of Ascension,
you will be part of a team that is committed to innovation and

compassionate service to enhance patient outcomes. This role
requires a compassionate approach, a high level of nursing skill,
and the ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary
team. Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for
patients in the neurology unit. Work closely with physicians and
other healthcare professionals to manage acute and chronic
neurological conditions. Educate patients and their families on
disease processes, medical-surgical procedures, and other aspects
of therapeutic regimens, including medication management. Monitor
patient progress and adjust treatments as needed in consultation
with the medical team. Maintain patient health records and report
any pertinent changes in patient condition to appropriate team
members. Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and safety
standards. Participate in professional development and research
activities to enhance practice knowledge and maintain a high
standard of care. Strong clinical skills in a medical-surgical
environment. Proficient in using healthcare software and systems.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work
effectively in a team-oriented environment. Knowledge of
neurological disorders and conditions. Skill in providing
patient-centered care that is compassionate and respectful of
patient and family diversity. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance
Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Current Registered Nurse (RN)
license in the state of practice. Basic Life Support (BLS)
Certification. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
Certification preferred. Certification in Neuroscience Nursing
(CNRN) preferred but not required.
