Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Physical Therapist - Discipline: Therapy - Start Date: 03/02/2026 - Duration: 12 weeks - 40 hours per week - Shift: 8 hours - Employment Type: Travel Title: Physical Therapist – Outpatient Orthopedics Location: Harvey, IL Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Shift – 5x8-Hour (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM); No weekend service; Call required; Block scheduling; Float required Job Responsibilities: /t - /t Provide 1:1 outpatient physical therapy services for adult patients in an orthopedic-focused setting /t /t - /t Perform evaluations, assessments, reassessments, and discharges /t /t - /t Develop individualized plans of care with short- and long-term goals /t /t - /t Provide post-operative rehabilitation (cervical, shoulder, spinal surgery; total hip and knee replacement) /t /t - /t Treat orthopedic conditions including ankle sprains, cervicalgia, DDD, DJD, elbow/knee injuries, hip fractures, osteoarthritis, sciatica, rheumatoid arthritis, spinal conditions, LE/UE amputations /t /t - /t Provide gait training, extremity mobilization, lumbar and cervical traction /t /t - /t Treat neurologic conditions including post-stroke rehabilitation, spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury, Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis, muscular dystrophy, nerve palsy, NDT /t /t - /t Perform wound assessment and management /t /t - /t Utilize modalities including TENS, E-stim, ultrasound, moist heat, phonophoresis, cervical and lumbar traction /t /t - /t Conduct assessments including ROM (AROM/AAROM/PROM), pain assessment, strength testing, vital sign monitoring, skin integrity, sensory response, and body mechanics /t /t - /t Provide home exercise programs, patient and family education, and safety/injury prevention education /t /t - /t Utilize assistive devices and equipment including crutches, rolling walker, gait belt, sliding boards, shoulder slings, traction table /t /t - /t Complete documentation in Epic (required) including OASIS, evaluations, discharge summaries, goals, and plan of care /t /t - /t Manage billing documentation for Commercial, Medicaid, Medicare A/B, Private Pay, and Workers' Compensation /t Required Qualifications: /t - /t Minimum 2 years of Physical Therapist experience (less than 2 years may be considered per job requirements) /t /t - /t Active Illinois state license (in hand at submission; no license hits allowed) /t /t - /t BLS certification (ACLS preferred) /t /t - /t Epic charting experience (required) /t /t - /t Travel experience required /t /t - /t Ability to float as needed /t /t - /t Ability to take call /t /t - /t RTO: No more than 3 days; no RTO during first or last week of contract /t /t - /t All required state/national certifications must be in hand at submission /t /t - /t Must meet background and compliance requirements /t Required Clinical Skills: /t - /t Orthopedic rehabilitation (pre- and post-operative care) /t /t - /t Gait training and extremity mobilization /t /t - /t Lumbar and cervical traction /t /t - /t Pain management and strength testing /t /t - /t Outpatient adult therapy experience /t /t - /t 1:1 patient care model /t HonorVet Technologies Job ID 31859547.
