Ascension is seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) for our Med Surg ICU to join our faith-based health system. As a part of our team, the RN will play a critical role in providing high-quality, compassionate, and personalized care to our patients in the medical-surgical and intensive care units. This position requires a blend of critical thinking, excellent communication, and robust clinical skills to navigate complex patient situations effectively. Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols of the healthcare organization. Perform comprehensive patient assessments, and plan, implement, or coordinate all aspects of patient care. Ensure proper operations of medical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements, following manufacturer's instructions, and troubleshooting malfunctions. Administer prescribed medications, apply dressings, and monitor vital signs. Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate utilizing computerized documentation systems. Instruct and educate patients and families through the continuum of care. Collaborate with team members to foster a compassionate environment for all patients and staff. Respond to life-saving situations based upon nursing standards, policies, procedures, and protocol. Strong clinical skills in a medical-surgical and ICU setting Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Proficient in using healthcare software and systems Ability to handle high-stress situations calmly and effectively Knowledge of standard care protocols, safety standards, and procedures Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Current Registered Nurse license BLS certification ACLS preferred Additional certification in Critical Care Nursing (CCRN) is advantageous
