Job Description:
Southern Health Partners is seeking a compassionate and skilled
Certified Medication Aide to join our dedicated healthcare team
serving the needs of the correctional environment. As a key member
of our team, you will be instrumental in ensuring the safe,
accurate, and timely administration of medications to our diverse
patient population. This position offers a unique opportunity to
enhance your skills in a dynamic and challenging setting, where
each day presents a chance to make a significant impact on patient
health and well-being. Administer daily medications to patients as
prescribed, ensuring correct time, dosage, and appropriateness of
the medications. Record and monitor patient responses and side
effects to medications and report any adverse reactions to the
supervising healthcare provider. Assist in maintaining secure and
accurate patient medication documentation. Participate in the
review and updating of patient care plans. Ensure compliance with
all health and safety regulations within the facility. Educate
patients about their medications, including possible side effects
and interactions. Strong knowledge of pharmacology and medication
management. Ability to work independently in a secured and
controlled environment. Keen attention to detail and high level of
accuracy. Strong interpersonal skills and empathy for patients.
Good documentation and reporting skills. Medical Insurance Dental
Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Valid certification
as a Medication Aide from a recognized credentialing body. CPR
Certified.
