Job Description:
Ascension is seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse
for our Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) to join our
faith-based healthcare organization. At Ascension, we are committed

facilities. This role requires precision and a proactive attitude
in managing complex cardiovascular operations, contributing
significantly towards our mission to empower communities and
improve health outcomes. Provide direct nursing care in a
cardiovascular operating room environment in accordance with
established policies, procedures, and protocols of the healthcare
organization. Assist surgeons during cardiac and thoracic
procedures, ensuring all sterile techniques are strictly
maintained. Prepare and review operation rooms and equipment,
ensuring sterility and operational readiness. Monitor patient vital
signs during surgery and provide updates to the surgical team.
Administer and record prescribed medications. Coordinate
post-surgical care and convey critical information to recovery
personnel. Educate patients and families on post-operative care and
lifestyle adjustments. Strong skills in cardiac care and sterile
operating procedures. Proficient in using CVOR technology and
surgical instruments. Excellent interpersonal and communication
skills. Ability to respond quickly and efficiently in crisis
situations. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance
Life Insurance 401k Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the
state of employment. Certified Perioperative Nurse (CNOR) or
willing to obtain certification within one year of employment.
