Job Description:
Ascension, a leading faith-based healthcare organization, is
seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse / Nurse
Extern to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will work
closely with a team of skilled healthcare professionals to deliver
high-quality, personalized care in line with our mission to
transform healthcare through innovation. You will have the unique
opportunity to touch lives and make a real difference in the
communities we serve. Provide direct nursing care in accordance
with established policies, procedures and protocols of the
healthcare organization. Monitor, record, and communicate patient
condition as appropriate. Serve as a primary coordinator of all
disciplines for well-coordinated patient care. Assess and
coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the
healthcare team. Implement and monitor patient care plans. Modify
plans as needed to meet changing patient needs. Perform various
patient tests and administer medications within the scope of
practice of the registered nurse. Promote patient's independence by
establishing patient care goals and teaching patients and families
to understand conditions, medications, and self-care skills. Strong
clinical skills and knowledge Ability to work well in a team
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Good
decision-making and problem-solving skills Proficiency in
electronic health record systems Medical Insurance Dental Insurance
Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Valid registered nurse license
in the state of employment. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
required. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
preferred.
