Mercyhealth System in Rockford, Illinois is seeking Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Anesthesiologists to join our well-established anesthesia team at Mercyhealth Javon Bea Hospital - Riverside. This is an opportunity to practice at a Level I Trauma Center with a diverse, high-acuity case mix including trauma, high-risk OB, and orthopedic surgery, while enjoying a predictable weekday schedule with competitive compensation and strong administrative support. Opportunity Overview: - Full-time employment at Mercyhealth Javon Bea Hospital - Riverside, a 195-bed, Level I Trauma Center - Standard schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. - In-house 24-hour call rotation: roughly 1:2.7 days (one weeknight/week and 1-2 weekends/month) - Weeknight in-house call: 3:00 p.m.-7:00 a.m. following an 8-hour shift - Coverage: trauma or OB - Post-call day off for in-house coverage - Pager call rotation: 2nd, 3rd, and 4th calls with ~20-minute response time - Moderate call volume - EPIC EMR Departmental Scope: - Provide anesthesia for trauma, high-risk OB (Level III Perinatal Center), orthopedic, and general surgical procedures - 14 operating rooms, all-hands-on trauma cases - Comprehensive Stroke Center support - Collaboration with MDs, CRNAs (primarily for endoscopy suite), surgeons, and multidisciplinary teams - Participation in quality improvement initiatives and multidisciplinary care planning Required Skills & Experience: - MD/DO, board-certified or board-eligible in Anesthesiology - Recent, well-rounded trauma experience required - Regional and OB anesthesia experience required - Ability to provide high-quality anesthesia in a high-acuity, multidisciplinary setting - Excellent teamwork, communication, and patient-centered approach Compensation & Benefits: - Base Salary: $550,000 (General), $630,000 (Cardiac) - Additional allocation of up to $100K toward student loan repayment and/or sign-on bonus - Relocation assistance for up to $10,000 - CME, licensure, membership, and medical association dues reimbursed - Malpractice and tail insurance coverage - Comprehensive health, dental, and vision benefits - 403(b) retirement plan with employer match - Paid parental and caregiver leave - Short- and long-term disability coverage - Strategic partnership with a dedicated physician liaison Community & System Information: Admitting Hospital: Mercyhealth Javon Bea Hospital-Riverside is a state-of-the-art tertiary care facility serving Northern Illinois.
