Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg / Telemetry - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 04/05/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Assignment Overview - Shift: Nights, 3x12hrs - Hours: 36 hrs/wk - Start Date: Apr 5, 2026 - Length: 13 weeks - Openings: 1 Description American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Step Down / Med-Surg Telemetry position requiring at least 2 years of PCU or Med-Surg Telemetry acute care experience and a night shift schedule. Details - Position is based in a hospital Med-Surg Step Down unit (7E) - Traveler may be placed on a PCU or Med-Surg/Telemetry unit based on greatest need and individual skill set - Night shift schedule: 19:00–07:30 - Every other weekend (EOW) required - Every other holiday (EOH) required - Floating required within skill set onsite or to sister sites within a 40-mile radius Requirements - Active WI or Compact RN license required - Minimum 2 years of PCU, Med-Surg, or Telemetry acute care experience required - Current BLS certification required (must be AHA-issued) - Current ACLS certification required (must be AHA-issued) - NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required - Must possess a US Social Security Number and provide a US home address Additional Information - Both Med-Surg and Step Down RNs are eligible to apply, as credentialing requirements are the same for both - Local candidates are accepted; however, candidates residing within the facility's radius may be subject to a reduced pay rate - Two professional references required for consideration - Copies of certifications, license verification/Nursys, and a Driver's License are required for consideration - COVID vaccination is not required American Traveler Job ID P-682573.
