Job Description:

Ascension is a faith-based healthcare organization dedicated to transforming healthcare and supporting your growth as a Registered Nurse in interventional radiology. We are looking for a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse to join our travel nurse team, specifically for Interventional Radiology. This role requires versatility and commitment to delivering caring patient support and outcomes in a variety of settings within the Ascension network. You will apply specialized skills in guiding and performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, ensuring exceptional care standards and fostering holistic patient wellness. Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in interventional radiology, ensuring patient safety. Administer sedation and monitor patient responses to interventions. Coordinate with radiologists to plan and execute patient care strategies tailored to individual needs. Assist in procedure prep and recovery areas preparing patients and monitoring post-procedure condition. Maintain records and radiographic equipment, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Educate patients and their families on procedures, post-procedure care, and overall health maintenance. Ability to perform vascular checks and manage patient care during radiologic procedures. Strong knowledge of radiologic technology and the handling of instrumentation. Excellent patient management skills to assist and monitor during interventions. Critical thinking skills to respond effectively in high-pressure environments. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Current Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in the state of practice. Certification in Radiology Nursing (CRN) preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
