Job Description:
Performance Foodservice, a leader in food product distribution,
is seeking motivated individuals to join our team as Class A CDL
Delivery Driver Trainees. This role is pivotal in offering
exceptional service by delivering products timely and safely to our
vast network of customers including family-owned eateries and
prominent national chains. As a trainee, you will be given
comprehensive training to manage deliveries and ensure customer
satisfaction while mastering the skills required to become a
certified Class A CDL Delivery Driver. With a $7500 sign-on bonus
as an additional incentive, this position offers a promising start
to a rewarding career in logistics and transportation within a
supportive and dynamic work environment. Transport and deliver food
and food-related products to assigned destinations within set
timeframes, safely and efficiently. Verify load accuracy against
shipping documents and ensure all paperwork is complete and
accurate. Interact professionally and effectively with customers
and staff at the points of delivery. Comply with all DOT
regulations as well as company policies and procedures. Report any
vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damages to the
vehicles. Assist in loading and unloading the truck as needed.
Undergo regular training and evaluation to become a certified Class
A CDL driver. Strong time management and customer service skills.
Ability to operate and navigate a commercial motor vehicle. Basic
understanding of safety management and vehicle maintenance. Good
physical condition to fulfill loading and unloading tasks. Medical
