Symbotic is seeking a knowledgeable and proactive Safety
Professional to support safety performance across our automated
warehouse operational sites. This role is essential in improving
safety programs, enhancing employee engagement, and reinforcing a
strong culture of safety at both internal and customer locations.
The Safety Professional will lead operational safety initiatives,
including safety program improvements, recognition and engagement
activities, daily and weekly safety audits, and site- specific
onboarding that prepares employees for safe work practices. This is
a fully remote position requiring approximately 50% regional travel
across the Southwest and Midwest. You will work on-site at various
project locations as needed to support our operations. We are
seeking candidates ideally based in Colorado, New Mexico, Arizona,
Nevada, or neighboring states to ensure easy access to our Western
and Midwestern sites. What we do The EHS Operations Manager is part
of the Manufacturing Operations organization; the EHS team is
responsible for maintaining and i mproving the overall safety and
performance of the orga nization. The EHS organization drives
compliance with regulations, fosters a culture of safety,
environmental responsibility, and social consciousness, while
building a strong stakeholder relationship to drive a culture of
Safety at Symbotic . What you’ll do Develop and implement safety
policies, procedures, and programs that support daily operations at
both internal and customer warehouse sites, ensuring they align
with the unique risks of automated work environments. Conduct
regular operational safety audits and inspections at customer and
company sites to evaluate equipment, work processes, and facility
conditions, ensuring prompt identification and correction of
hazards. Deliver site specific safety onboarding and ongoing
training for company employees and customer employees working
within Symbotic supported operational areas, reinforcing safe work
practices and equipment interaction protocols. Lead investigations
of operational incidents, injuries, and near misses at customer or
internal sites, determining root causes and driving corrective and
preventive actions across all relevant locations. Monitor and
analyze operational safety KPIs and leading indicators, identifying
risk trends and implementing data driven strategies to improve
safety performance at customer and internal sites. Ensure
compliance with OSHA, ANSI, customer specific safety requirements,
and company EHS standards, maintaining up to date knowledge of
operational safety regulations and industry best practices. Serve
as the dedicated on site safety subject matter expert, supporting
operational leadership, General managers , and customer personnel
in safe task execution, hazard mitigation, and risk based decision
making . Promote a strong safety culture within customer and
internal operations by enhancing engagement, fostering
accountability, and reinforcing continuous improvement behaviors.
Act as the primary EHS liaison with customer stakeholders and
regulatory agencies, ensuring clear communication, aligned
expectations, proper documentation, and consistent safety practices
across all sites. Ensure compliance with international, federal,
state, and local EHS regulations. What you’ll need Bachelor's
degree in Occupational Health and Safety , Environmental Science,
Engineering, or related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in
safety management, preferably in a warehouse or industrial setting
with automated equipment. Professional certification such as
Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Occupational Health and Safety
Technician (OHST), or equivalent is highly desirable. Strong
knowledge of OSHA regulations, ANSI standards, and other relevant
safety requirements. Demonstrated experience in conducting safety
audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations. Excellent
communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to
effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the
organization. Proven ability to work independently and
collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and
managing multiple projects simultaneously. Proficiency in Microsoft
Office Suite and other relevant software applications. Flexibility
to work non-standard hours and travel occasionally as needed.
Demonstrated professional with passion for change and relentless
focus on execution. Execution, attention to detail, initiative,
conflict resolution, customer focus, collaboration, building
ownership and commitment, establishing direction, drive for change,
getting organizational support, tenacity, and skills in share point
sites. Excellent communication, analytical, problem solving and
human relations skills. Must be highly organized; able to
prioritize and meet target dates in a very fast-paced environment.
Bi-lingual in Spanish and English preferred. Demonstrates strong
leadership, is self ? motivated and self ? directed, possesses
solid Microsoft Office skills, and excels in time management,
meeting deadlines, and communicating effectively with others. Our
Environment Knowledge of plant operations/ ability to work on a
manufacturing floor. Capable of standing and walking for up to 6 to
8 hours a day, if required . Ability to lift up to 30 lbs . Up to
50% or more of travel may be required . Employees must have a valid
driver’s license and the ability to drive and/or fly to client and
other customer locations. The employee is responsible for owning a
credit card and managing expenses personally to be reimbursed on a

range for this position in the posted location is $87,000.00 -
$119,900.00 however, base pay offered may vary depending on
job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The compensation
package includes medical, dental, vision, disability, 401K, PTO
and/or other benefits.
