We are looking for an Iron Melt Operator to join our Cast Iron division. We offer a diverse array of growth opportunities within our manufacturing divisions. This position will be based at our Kohler, Wisconsin location. We specialize in manufacturing high-quality cast iron products. Crafting Excellence: Your Responsibilities - Use of pneumatic chipping hammer and masonry/brick saw - Perform ladle patch/rebuild with misc. refractories, perform - Melt baghouse bag change out - Perform Auto-pour furnace chip/patch - Perform Melt furnace chip/patch - Melt furnace knockout and reline as needed - Yard Crane, HMC and Preheat operations - Scrap load check-in, after time duties will include slagging, charging, tapping melt furnaces as directed by Control Technician - Fork lift certification is required, etc. - Clean up duties will be assigned as needed by supervision. - PPE requirements are, but not limited to: 3.0 tinted safety glasses, slip off safety shoes with metatarsal guards, respirator, coveralls, etc. - Schedule reflects production lines. Here's the qualifications we are looking for: Skills/Requirements - Must be able to work in the US without restriction or sponsorship. - Effective communication skills for manufacturing production processes. - Must be at least 18 years old. - Preferred Qualifications - High School diploma or equivalent preferred. - 1 year of manufacturing, industrial, or warehouse experience preferred.
