Job Description Job Description GENERAL DESCRIPTION 3rd Shift -
8:00pm to 4:00am The CNC operator is responsible for setting up the
3 axis CNC machine. He/she is required to set up the stock for
forms to be milled, whether it be wood or foam. The operator will
have to set the stock on the machine and run the program to mill
the form. The operator will be responsible for daily safety
inspections and basic maintenance of the machine. All fluids topped
off and airlines cleared of any moisture. The operator will be
trained on a forklift to be able to load and unload the stock
material that is too heavy to be carried by hand. The operator is a
member of the mold shop. When there is down time, the operator will
work with mold builders in the shop, he/she will report to the mold

union and non-union employees. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND
RESPONSIBILITIES Read production drawings/blueprints and operate
CNC to create custom wooden forms with close tolerance to
specifications Must have clear knowledge of basic measurements and
the ability to read a tape measure within a 16th of an inch Must be
able to use a variety of tools, including but not limited to,
staple gun, brad nailer, hammer, measuring tape, pneumatic nail
gun, pneumatic palm sander, and circular saws Maintain good
housekeeping and always follows Gate Precast safety policies and
procedures Excellent time management skills with a proven ability
to meet deadlines Ability to function well in a fast-paced
environment Willingness and ability to work as a team player
Perform additional duties as requested or required EDUCATION,
SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED High School diploma or equivalent
CNC experience required Construction experience required Precast
experience preferred PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/ ADA ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Must be able to use various hand tools or controls Must be able to
wear personal protective equipment (PPE) such as steel toe laced up
ankle work boots, hard hats, work gloves, safety glasses, hearing
protection, back brace, forearm shields, and safety vests
Physically able to lift up to 75 lbs, occasionally Physically able
to push, pull, lift, bend, climb, kneel, twist, squat, crawl and
use hands/forearms repetitively and frequently Ability to move
around for up to 12 hours per day Ability to work from ladders,
scaffolding, swing stages and man lifts at various heights
frequently WORKING CONDITIONS Moderate to high risk of exposure to
unusual elements Moderate to high risk of safety precautions
Moderate to high exposure to production environment Wet, hot,
humid, and wintry conditions (weather related) (plant specific)
Ability to work outside year-round (plant specific) This position
