Job Description:
Marcus Theatres is seeking a dynamic Public Relations Specialist
who will be responsible for helping create and promote the
corporate identity and mission to customers, the public, the media,
and employees through the creation and distribution of brochures,
news releases, and other documents. Reporting the to the Director
of Media, the ideal candidate is a proactive communicator with
strong writing skills, sound judgment, and the ability to manage
multiple projects in a fast paced environment. This position is
based out of our corporate office in Milwaukee and requires in
office presence. As part of the Marcus Corporation, Marcus Theatres
has proudly entertained audiences since our first theatre opened in
Ripon, WI, back in 1935. Now, as the fourth-largest theatre circuit

every moviegoer. What you will be doing\: Collaborates with
Director of Media to build and execute communication strategy and
priorities. Coordinates and assists with management of relationship
with PR agency partner. Plans, prepares, and distributes original
content such as articles, press releases, media advisories, email,
blog posts, and other updates on behalf of the organization.
Develops talking points and scripts for speaking and interview
opportunities. Builds relationships with the media and is confident
with regular outreach. Coordinates interview opportunities and
manages requests from the media. Monitors media coverage and helps
to create new story ideas. Provides support with issues management
and crisis situations. Ensures that all materials present a clear,
unified, and positive image for the organization and/or brand.
Assesses community needs to identify, grow and execute
opportunities that support Marcus Theatres’ brand, niche and
diversity-marketing initiative. Assists with event planning and
execution, community outreach efforts and special projects such as
Hollywood Movie Night, premiere events and additional requests.
Assists with social media posts and content. Continuously improves
by capturing and analyzing the appropriate PR data/metrics,
insights and best practices, and then acting on the information.
Performs other related duties as assigned by the Director of Media.
What we are looking for\: Three to five (3-5) years of experience
in marketing, publications, or a related field with a bachelor’s
degree in communications, marketing or a related field highly
preferred Possess strong interpersonal and verbal communication
skills by communicating clearly and effectively Demonstrates strong
writing, editing and proofreading skills Must have the ability to
build and maintain relationships with the media and other partners
Must have experience with PR tools like Cision, Muck Rack, etc.
Must be detail-oriented Possesses strong organizational skills and
the ability to multitask Ability to plan and manage events Thrives
in a fast-paced environment and open to additional assignments as
